Question Terry Donna's Butterfly Saddle in PINK Want to sell yours?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    Hello Ladies,
I haven't been around for some time. After breaking my wrist I just didn't seem to be able to get back into my cycling.
But I'm back! & I'm loving it... the love being made all the easier with my new TREK Pilot 2.1

The writing on the bike is pink, and so I've changed my bar tape to pink (as you do ;-) ) then came on here to purchase the Donnas Butterfly saddle in pink, only to find it's not there :-( It's still available in the Black & Pink, but I really wanted the pink...so, is there anyone out there who purchased this saddle and decided it wasn't for them? Would you like to sell it to me? and would you be happy to ship it to the UK?

I've tried finding a pink saddle here in the UK but with no luck... you girls are my last hope :-)

I will post pics of my bike here later today.

    Gilly :-)

You'd think so - but here in the UK if it's pink and for a bike it's because you're 8 years old and 'into' Barbie!! I called a couple of shops this afternoon and neither could/would order pink tyres in. But that's okay, TE to the rescue, again

DH has taken some since I did the bar tape, I'll post them when I can find my camera cable. Then when I get my saddle I can post some more

Thank you again, I really am very grateful

I bought pink Schwalbe Stelvio tires (I bought them from biketiresdirect.com because they had the best price. And I have to put in a plug for the service at biketiresdirect. I placed a different order online, for a threaded CO2 pump and a bunch of non-threaded cartridges, and they called me the day I placed the order, before they shipped, to make sure this wasn't a mistake. It wasn't actually, I have a pump for each seatbag and one that takes unthreaded -- but I was impressed that they caught this).

Anyway, I really like the tires. I bought them just for the color, which matches my Fizik tape/saddle very well, but they turned out to be much better tires than the ones that came on my bike. I had no idea tires could be so plush and grippy! (Granted my experience isn't very wide...).

Here's a picture of the tires on my bike (and a not-so-great picture of me looking beat after a very windy ride that bf made me lead 75% of the way):

And maybe a better picture of the tires:

Soma makes a good durable training tire with pink sidewalls. They're not as nice-looking as the Schwalbe, but they appear to be well made (the stripes aren't perfect, they're like drawn on, but at 20 mph who knows?). The Schwalbe Stelvio tires we had on DH and my bikes blew apart (the sidewalls of the rear tires on both bikes).
I wish Continental would offer theirs again.

    I got my Soma's at:

I actually bought this saddle today @ my LBS. Hopefully it'll workout for me. Doesn't go with my bike at all, but for now, I'm needing comfort and I think it'll do the trick.
