Team Slipstream at the Tour of Elk Grove

    To disable ads, please log-in.

This is only the second year of the Tour of Elk Grove, but the pro purse is worth $20,000. That brought in quite a few professional teams. After reading about Team Slipstream on these boards (and learning that they are "Powered by Chipotle"), I was excited to see them at the race.

Pictures from the races (including Mens Cat 5, 3/4, and 1/2) will be posted here.
It may take a while, but assuming all goes well, the pics will be up by the end of the night.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's pronounced: chi-POT-lay with a long "O" sound as in "boat" or "moat". I'm so anal...

Great pictures! I was struck most by two things:
There is a guy who looks quite old wearing a Lampre jersey.
There is a guy wearing a t-shirt and denim shorts!

RIJ73 - I'm pretty sure those are the Cat 5 racers. They made a pretty big deal at the beginning of the Cat 5 race because there were quite a few guys who were over 50 and racing in the beginner category.

More power to them. I think that's awesome... I hope I'm that fit in my 50's. Somebody needs to give the young guy in denim some lycra though!
