Night ride surprise

I just got back from a night ride here in Phoenix. It was absolutely gorgeous outside, almost cool, and the sky was decorated with full moon lit clouds. How could I stay inside? About half-way through my ride, I got sprayed by a sprinkler that had gone off course. Well, that's what I thought, until the spray continued. What the heck was going on? Then, suddenly it dawned on me---it's raining! It's raining, well, sprinkling anyway, and I'm riding in it. It was a roadie first for me, as well as a night ride first. And probably half of Phoenix slept through it. I am so glad I'm a bike rider!

I've done some night trail riding around here. It's a different experience completely than daylight riding. The best is seeing the critters in their environment at night. I ride with a Nite Rider light. Gotta' love those little eyes peering back at cha'.
