Question Drew Carey replaces Bob Barker....

I like Drew Carey, lots. He is a bit on the nasty side sometimes, but I still like him.

However, I just can't imagine him replacing Bob Barker on the Price is Right. I don't see it. I really don't know who I would have cast if it were my choice. I think that it is harder to replace Bob Barker than it is to find a new James Bond.

Bob Barker is so distinguished and respectable. He is grandfatherly. Drew Carey isn't. He's witty.

I hope that this is a good choice and wish him well with the new role. What do all of you think? Drew sure has some big shoes to fill.

yeah, every now and then he can bend over and make flatulence noises to impress the crowd.

    Boy howdy.

It does seem an unusual choice but better than Rosie O'Donnell.
Bob wasn't always grandfatherly and no I don't mean that Diane Parkinson episode I mean when he had dark hair.

Maybe Drew has decided it's time for a new direction.

I second the Rosie O' Donnell comment.

What happened on the Diane Parkinson episode???? Musta missed that one.

You are right, he didn't always have the grandfatherly look, but I don't imagine he ever bent over and let one rip on stage like mimitabby suggested that Drew could do. I will say, however, that it would be much more comedic (is that even a word?) if Bob let one rip than if Drew let one rip because we wouldn't be expecting it from Bob. Kind of like when my DH cracks a joke and we all do a double take and roll over laughing
