I just bought these at my LBS yesterday, for $48. They seem pretty nice, but I haven't ridden in them yet. I like the material - more of a softer, matte finish, with some vent panels on the back of the legs. A bit longer than I prefer, but nice silicone leg grippers that don't squeeze like some of my others (I have biggish thighs). The chamois seems nice - soft and slightly stretchy, with a channel down the center. I am mildly concerned that the chamois side-wing thingies might be a bit thick (makes the whole thing feel kinda wide), but we'll see. Size-wise, I got a large, and they seem to fit about the same as my large PI Ultrasensors from 2-3 years ago. Haven't sat on the bike yet. I probably won't be trying them out for a while - I also got my new saddle today, and don't want to add too many unknowns to the equation, and then I'll be out of town for a week.

I wore the Nike shorts yesterday, for the first time. In conjunction with a saddle I had only ridden twice before. Anyhow, they seemed fine for 30 miles. I was concerned about the thick side panels, which felt bunchy just wearing them around, but I didn't even notice it while riding. My new saddle does have a fairly narrow nose, so I think the chamois didn't have the opportunity to chafe - your mileage may vary. Between the new saddle & the new shorts, I thought I might be in a world of hurt by the end, but not so. I wouldn't say I was completely unconscious of my nether regions, but it was far better than I've felt in ages. The shorts were pretty damp by the end, but it was about 84F & very humid (although when I washed them I noticed they took a long time to dry). If you like a thin chamois, these may not be for you, but I think it is somewhat thinner (and slightly stretchy) than my PI Ultrasensors. And they are the longest bike shorts I've ever worn.

I may wear them this weekend for a longer ride - I'll update you if my verdict changes. By the way, this season I've been using chamois cream (lately Assos, which seems the best, once you get past the minty freshness - well, okay, the witch-hazelly, mentholly freshness).
