Don't bother with the flowered shirts, dorky hats and flip flops...I will be donning bright, eclectic attire, helmet, and fingerless gloves!
Hubby and I got our Adventure Cycling magazine today...
LET THE TRIP PLANNING BEGIN!!!!!

Where to? Where to??
Well, we have our bike set up to either camp or B&B it (almost) but have yet to ride long distance on them. Sooo, our first trip may be something we can bail on easily...here is our thought:
Hubby has family in Philly & the Jersey shore (Somers Point)...we would drive to there (we are in Asheville NC) leave the pups with whomever is willing to babysit (luxury of having numerous family in one locale) and ride north as far as we can in the days allowed...we may even find a route to visit the Big Apple!!! diclaimer: I have only briefly scoured maps and routes so not extremely informed at this time.
Other routes we are interested in:
San Francisco to the Redwoods (my hubby is from the east and has never really seen a big tree...he NEEDS to see the Redwood Forest!!!)
Oregon to Glacier Nat'l Park, MT - I have family along the route and used to work at Glacier and just absolutely LOOOOVE it there!
Hubby's family has a reunioun every 5 and we would love to show up on our bikes wherever it may be...his family thinks we are nuts and this would just knock off there keisters...hahaha
something in Alaska is an interest too....i am sure the list will grow fast hehe!

How exciting. Have a wonderful time planning. (I am so envious, too - with 3 kids under age 6, there is no such thing as a vacation.)
