    Jersey Find!

I was in Target today -- they're remodeling, bad news cuz that makes it hard to get around, but it means you have to look around a bit extra to find what you really wanted, so maybe it's good news too?

Anyway, I found this fun jersey -- complete with zipper front (about 12") and three back pockets, all for under $20! The brand is Champion

I bought the XL, which has been fitting pretty well for me in this brand, and it's comfortable -- even the sleeves, which is where things are usually a bit snug on me if they fit everywhere else!

No elastic in the sleeves, but some at the bottom. I'm undecided about the elastic at this point, only just brought it home, and should give it a ride before making the decision to get out the seam ripper, but hey! For $16.98, I can rip, right?

No color choices available, but this one works for me, and I have this feeling that Darcy (I think that's the name that goes with the lady I'm thinking of) will be making a bee line to her nearest Target store too?

So, to be a good wife, I headed back to the Men's department after I was done scouring my racks, looking to see what great stuff they might have for DH. Not so good there -- nifty bright yellow shirt for commuting, but then it's BLACK on the back. Just what a guy needs when he's riding in 100 degree heat this summer!

Oh that is real cute. I will stop at Target tomorrow and see if I can find it.

I just purchased three Louis Garneau short sleeve jerseys online last night from bikesomewhere.com, styles that TE doesn't sell. The jerseys cost more than the Target jersey, but oh well.

    Thanks for posting the info.

    Good luck, Darcy!

I thought I remembered that you find things to wear at Target like I do, and this is a TERIFFIC find! They had several, but only in this one color, so maybe it's something that Champion is starting to produce for them?

I DO hope it wasn't just "my" Target!

Just went surfing at target.com and it IS available online, and it says there are more colors available. It does not say what those colors are!

Kano, is the fit European or loose?

I buy stuff at Target, but for street clothes I am mostly a Nordstrom shopper. You probably have me confused with someone else. I buy sheets, towels, scatter rugs, kitchenware, etc at Target. In fact, I don't shop at K-Mart or Walmart, but I like Target for some reason, maybe because the stores are so clean, and the employees seem happy.

However my favorite store is my LBS. Then comes the book stores. Then REI and the Whole Foods Market. Oh, and I can't forget Petsmart. And the bird feed shop. I go to all of those stores many times more than I go to Nordstroms or Target.

I was gone for about two weeks, a few days in Vancouver BC, then a cruise to Alaska. It was an experiment to see if it was a type of vacation that my husband could do because he is in failing health. The cruise was too much for him, but I had a lot of fun, much more than I expected given that I didn't have my bike. I got back in time to do the Strawberry Ride in the cold rain with Ellen and Suzie on Saturday. And Suzie and I are doing our first century on the 24th.

    Thanks for missing me.
