    I'm getting married!

I know I haven't been around lately. So sorry! So busy ... as you will see.

Thomas asked me to marry him last night!

We took a walk about 9 p.m. to a small park near my apartment. We were looking up at the stars, holding hands and watching the fireflies. Then I saw a shooting star.

The next thing I know, he is down on one knee. "I love you with all my heart," he said, with tears in his eyes. "Will you marry me?"

Of course I said yes through my own tears and he put the most beautiful ring on my finger.

How quickly and wonderfully our lives can change. The struggles of 2006 are virtually forgotten, and now I know they had a purpose because it is only because of that string of events that I met Thomas.

Wonder if we can go mountain biking on our honeymoon.

You will just know that you are going to finish and that was what you set out to do."

    CONGRATULATIONS SUSIE (AND THOMAS, TOO)!

I was wondering where you got off to. So, so very happy for you!!!!! Have you set a date yet? Wedding on bicycles maybe? Perhaps instead of driving away from the reception in a car- you ride your bikes w/streamers attached. Oh sorry- I thought I was getting married for a moment there.

How romantic and perfect for a proposal!!!!!

    Congratulations to you both!!!
Your post brought tears to my eyes. I've been gone from TE for awhile (also being in love ), so I don't know the story of how you and Thomas met. Post it here? Hmmmm? Please....?

I did notice that the title of the thread makes it look like whoever the last poster was is the one getting married! Maybe we could change it to:

    That's awesome!! Congratulations, Susie!

Here's to many years of happiness together for the two of you.

PS - We went skiing for our honeymoon and I'd bet there is awesome mtn biking there in the summer. Check out Banff Springs/Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies for a supremely romantic spot!

Congratulations Susie!!! Thomas sounds like a real good guy.
I remember you, AllezGirl and I heading out for our first ride together last year. You were talking about how hard it was to get out there and bike. How hard it was to get an LBS around there to take you seriously and help you get the correct kind of bike. You were struggling but never gave up. You were just looking for a few people who understood your goals and knew why you were putting yourself through all of that. It's no wonder you ended up at TE. We saw you blossom and get stronger in so many ways, not just physically. Everytime we got together, AG and I always commented that you looked better, you sounded better, your overall being was vibrant and powerful. Then you and Thomas found each other and you just radiated happiness.

May you both have a wonderful and long life together. I wish you all of the happiness in the world. Yes, I think a bike needs to be part of your wedding/honeymoon somewhere because without that component, you may never have ventured out far enough to find him or the happiness you have in your life right now. So, get that guy of yours out on that mtb (let him win sometimes, it will make him feel good ) and spread the love.

    Congrats again,

    ~X.

    What a wonderful proposal!

Perhaps you should buy each other new bikes for wedding gifts!
