Well I am home right now, and it is about 54 this morning and I am LOVING IT!. When we rolled out of Laughlin yesterday it was 109. We sculpted in this heat. No shade on asphalt too. I started getting a bit sick the other day and swear I was going blind! We were so happy to leave yesterday we didn't even take pictures of the sculpture. The client is supposed to send us some. Hopefully Denise will post the pic's she took when she came to visit me last week.(hint hint)
So we leave for detroit on monday and will be back the following monday for a whole 11 days by myself. I love my hubby but the break will be nice.
We are at the Art festival in down town Detroit if anyone is interested.
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I can't wait to see pictures of your sculpture- you do AMAZING work!!!
109?? Whew- I don't miss those days. I grew up in SW AZ and don't miss that blasted heat one teeny bit. When you live there you become acclamated to it and it's not so bad (really- I remember one summer it was mid 120's for a week and then when it dropped down to the low 100's it felt like a cold front had come through). However, if you don't live there and you visit- you just might die.
I went to Laughlin a few years ago in April and thought I might die- and it wasn't as hot as you endured- and I got to be in the shade.
I can't believe you had to work on asphalt in no shade. Insane!!! So glad you're back in the land of 50's and cool!
Have fun in Detroit (but have even more fun going "solo").

First, you beautify my Philly landscape...now you're headed to my former home in Detroit! That's my home town...and I went to Wayne State (which is quite safe, I assure you!)! Yes, I am proud to be from Detroit!![]()
Have fun and if you want any hints on neat places to visit or good restaurants...let me know!![]()
Where will your work be? I'll make sure that my parents make it down to see it!
