as if we didn't already know that.

I put my order in for some body glide, speed laces and tri shorts on Tuesday
and got them in the mail today! Unbelievable

I guess I have to give a little credit to the USPS too.

I tried on the tri shorts and I think they are going to work well although the grips around the leg feel a little snug (and I don't have big legs)

I got the tyr's w/ a 4" inseam - long enough to cover and short enough to hold less water. One less thing now to worry about in transition

Woo hoo! Enjoy your tri shots (and body glide and speed laces). The leg grippers always seemed snug to me at first, but now when I wear shorts w/out them it feels weird. Sounds like you're good to go for next weekend!!! When will your wetsuit arrive??

Not soon enough! it is only coming from Minnesota - 1 state away and it will be 4-5 days! TE was 1/2 a continent away and got here in 2 days I am hoping fri or Sat but expecting more Monday, will be really antsy if it isn't here Tu.

I have a waterski one I have borrowed just to get used to the cold temps. We have a river dip planned for tomorrow or Sat. I haven't done it yet. the goal of these is just to get in and adjust to the cold, not to swim.

My tri partners did one a couple of weeks ago before the rains hit and the water temps were 56 degrees. They only lasted 9 minutes. Then they did one in the big river (Missouri) that was a little warmer and they lasted 20 min. brrrrr - we had better get some sun by next week! I am NOT looking forward to this part of the training.

The swim for the tri is in a marina fed by the river. there won't be much current to speak of and hopefully it will be warmer than the actual river.
