Dont know what kind they are, but they should have some kind of screw expander to get them to stay on the bar. Look for it on the actual bar end

I stuck some end bars on my mountain bike last year to give me hand placement options on a long ride. I won't be using that bike for long rides anymore (thank goodness) and I'd like to take those end-bars off.
How do i do that? Use a hammer and knock them out or are they threaded somehow?
They're the kind that plug in right at the bar ends.

Most bar ends are held on to the handlebar with a 5mm or 6mm bolt... generally you will see it underneath the handlebars. All you'll need to do is loosen it and push the shifter/brake lever and grip back to the end of the handlebar.
