    Bike Helmets - Tougher than they look

    A little boy was run over by a car but survives thanks to his Bike Helmet.

    There's no doubt helmets protect your head. I honestly can't see why some people have a problem wearing them. I just don't go on my bike without mine. My son also wears his as a matter of course.

    I saw a young child riding his bike in our street tonight. He too was wearing a helmet. I saw the same child out a couple of weeks ago - no helmet. Maybe he's seen Ian and me wearing ours and now thinks it's grown-up and cool to wear a helmet
    There are a lot of unwanted, unloved bikes out there - go on give a bike a good home

    I know this is an old thread, but a college guy from madison, wisconsin was run over by a truck after he flipped over the front of his bike. The truck wheel rolled right over his head! The Giro helmet cracked, but saved his life. He had a concussion, but was otherwise fine. WOW!
