Hello to all my cycling sisters!
I actually completed my first MS150 this past weekend, Houston to Austin, Day one was 90 miles to LaGrange where we camped out for the night. I made 74 of those 90 and was so tired I sagged the last 16, after a night of absolutely NO sleep (due to extremely loud snoring men) I was up Sunday at 5:00am and was in line to leave LaGrange for our brutal day of hill after hill, along with 13,000 other cyclist we finally left after standing in line to leave after 2 hours. I cycled 70 miles and beat those hills! My cycling buddy (who I met just that morning) stayed with me and we encouraged each other all the way, we rolled into Austin at 2:30pm, there were thousands there to cheer us on, I was covered in goose bumps the whole way in. It was one of the greatest adventures of my life! I was able to raise almost $1000.00 for MS!
I only started training at the end of January. I only wish I had started doing this when I was younger. I LOVE MY BIKE!!! I am so addicted!
Lots of sleep to catch up on. Just wanted to give my biggest cycling adventure report!!
