I would love to get my legs muscular aka those great muscular cyclist legs. Is it just riding miles and miles, hills, spending time in the weight room, etc...?

    for me it's just riding.

I don't build big muscles, but I get nice lean hard muscles!

    Riding.
I have had characteristic biking muscles for 30 years (ok, so the definition has been more and less but they were always biking legs). Where I notice the diff over time is in my thighs and their musculature.

My legs have always been pretty big for my size, but it's only in the last 2-3 years that I've developed much definition. When I just rode a lot (and I mean a lot), I got pretty developed Vastus lateralis. Now that I'm doing a lot of trail running I have a defined Sartorius. I didn't even know that muscle was there! There's still plenty o' saddle bag, though!

My muscles started hardening up pretty quickly. I don't think you have long to wait!

This difference in my legs from one year ago is pretty noticeable. I rode 3000km in the past year. Calves are rock hard, thighs are getting there. Just gotta work on the innner thighs a bit more. The muscle is there I think - I just want to lose a little bit more of the fat covering them up.
