Did my first true Brick today. A soft flat 14-mile ride followed by a 2-mile run.

Lamented my loss of cycling chops over the long winter. First time I've run this week due to crazy work schedule and taking a bit of a rest-week after my high-mileage last week.

    All in all felt good!

Realized that I find Accelerade mildly tasty while at the same time disgusting... however cannot stop drinking it during the ride, it was like looking at a wreck... just couldn't stop myself. So I guess I like it? Well, it tasted better than that Cytomax stuff anyway!

Think I'm going to start doing one Brick a week on the weekend if at all possible.

Going to venture over to the dark side tomorrow and go mountain biking. Rental bike is loaded in my car and ready to go. Hopefully I don't kill myself!

KimmyT. Try INFINIT. They will custom mix the drink to your individual needs. It's changed my world! That being said I have a brand new (unopened) can of accelerade if you'd like it. They gave it to me at the trisports opening. I'd be glad to pop it in the mail to ya.

Oh and sorry... Good on the brick! Keep at it tho. Your legs lose that gumby feeling alot faster if you brick consistantly

    That's great!

Keep it up... it gets easier and easier!

I did a hard day today.

First a 35K ride. First there's a moderate hill though and you have to get over it coming home too. I tried going at 30 as long as I could in the flats. Not very long - hey aren't really flat, plus there was a headwind - probably sidewind as it came both going out and coming back. So eeks. I'm going to have to do this course often on an evening to improve...

Then dashed out for 2.5 K run and it was hard... but again I prefer the "warmed up" feeling of running after a bike. I took a power gel but it was probably too late for that.

Oh yeah. And I also did 1K in the pool in the morning.
It's a little secret you didn't know about us women. We're all closet Visigoths.
