Somebody is renting those out in New York City (or was...I saw it on a TV news/magazine). One person steers and the rest pedal. It's meant to be a taxi kind of thing, or for sight-seeing. I think they're kewl!

I've seen them on the streets of manhattan. Some kind of tourist thing. Makes sense. I'd rather ride a 7 person bike with my family to see the city than a stinky old bus!

There was a bike like that on the Amazing Race Family edition. A family of four had to pedal one lap around a speedway track somewhere down south. Once people got going it seemed like they had a good time.

I saw something about those too, some time back. Something about it being a sociable bike, where you can sit and chat with one another while riding, maybe hold a mobile seminar. Of course, somebody has to keep their eyes on the road!!!
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

well, in most families, there's someone like me who can't take their eyes OFF the road whether driving or not!

But I'd be careful following those horse-drawn carriages around Central Park!

someone in Hawaii is selling it for $10k. That would be interesting to see it on the road, it would prob. cause an accident where i live.

I think it would be a good bonding tool for friends, family, and/or teams, but it looks a bit on the heavy side.

Can you imagine the roof rack for that thing??? Or a trunk rack? It'd flip my car over... That many people pedaling should make it super fast.
