    question about SSS shorts...

Hi, I'm new here just registered today

I a new rodie too, LOL!! Bought my first "real" road bike this year, a Giant OCR composite 3.... and I love it!!

I have many races that I am signed up for...

    however, I need shorts!!

My friend tells me the SSS shorts are the best, and I see they are on sale here at estrogen.com. They are on a closeout for 2006. I'm wondering if anyone knows if that means they are not returnable if the size is wrong, since it's a close out sale... and also, do you know the difference between the 2006 shorts and the 2007??

I guess I could call too... but hey this is a way to introduce myself here anyway

I had no idea there was such a thing as a women's cycling forum, how cool!!!

Welcome, Kat. I would just call TE. Their customer service is great and they should be able to tell you return policy.

The info that came with mine said 90 days to return (not that I want to). I'd call or email Susan to check for sure, but TE is *very* reasonable on their policies (and extremely quick to ship!).

Actually, I think they are just "on sale" and not in the "Closeout" section. But I'm sure you can return them if necessary (wear underwear when trying them on, don't ride in them, don't remove the tags.)...I have returned sale items to TE no problem. Right now they only have xl and xxl left.

I have the SSS shorts and they are nice. I prefer a little longer inseam to avoid the "sausage casing" look on my thighs, so I also have the Elite Distance shorts (discontinued for this year, but there is a replacement style) which have a longer inseam and a more substantial chamois.

    Happy shopping!

I own the Shebeest SSS and love them. TE is awesome to work with, just give them a call. The 2006 are on sale because the 2007 came in. If you check the apparel thread, I believe Susan posted about the differences in the 2006 and 2007 models. Welcome to TE.
