    Warmer weather FINALLY!!!

Hello everyone - I have been MIA since leaving Princeton, NJ and moving to Denver, CO. Who would've thunk it - that Denver would get record snowfall, starting 2 weeks from my arrival. Never-the-less, I have been a cycling hermit. I finally got on the trainer a couple weeks ago. Rode 15 miles, indoors, and couldn't get back on the saddle for 4 days due to saddle soreness. Gosh, how quickly progress can fade. 'SIGH'
On another note, I have been snowboarding and learning Bikram yoga, so hopefully my balance will be improved.

It is supposed to get into the high 60's this week in Denver, so I am looking forward to riding outside soon. I just wanted to say hello, and that I've missed you guys. Hopefully I will be around a little more now.

cheers!!! hope you have all gotten through the winter healthy.

    Hi, long time no see.
We've been having all sorts of weather here, and have been able to ride at least a few weekends every month all winter.

Cheri -- I was wondering about you when I heard about all that snow in Denver. Glad to hear that you are expected spring-like temps this weekend and that you made the best of the snow. Look forward to hearing about your adventures out there.

There you are! I was wondering what you thought of all that snow in Dec. Really, that normally doesn't happen. I was off the bike (outside) for a total of 10 weeks. That doesn't sound too long, but it felt like forever. I've gotten outside 3 times now in the last 3 weeks, 2 times at lunch during the week. The street sweepers have been clearing up the sand which is nice. Planning to get out again on Sunday.

Just a warning though, I'm sure you've heard by now "March is the snowiest month of the year", which tends to be true. We're not out of the woods with snow until about the 3rd week of May. Get out while you can!

Welcome back! I've thought of you several times and noticed you hadn't been back on TE since your move. Hope the transition to Colorado is going well and that you're liking your new digs. The weather has been rough, but that will make spring all the sweeter!

Since I was MIA for a while, I did not know that you moved Cheri. Everytime I saw your name it made me happy to see someone else from the east coast and so close to me at that.

I will look forward to hear about your cycling adventures in CO then.

    Welcome back.

We set a record low temperature today (5 degrees, I think). But it's supposed to warm up this weekend -- and rain, so guess I can't win.

My life has been busy - like I mentioned, other than snowboarding I have been an inside girl for the last few months. I have been doing Bikram Yoga which I think has strengthened my legs, cause the 20 mile ride I did yesterday....OUTSIDE was a piece of cake.
the east coast def got some strange weather after I left, huh? ups and downs.

what I thought of all that snow? hmmm, I didn't think very highly of it, that's for sure. I keep saying that I wish I was receiveing an income for every person who told me that this was not normal for Denver. The snow storms were like the movie Groundhog Day...never ending. I did get on the bike yesterday..rode on the Platte River Trail, my first trail experience EVER. A bit crowded for my liking. If you know of any good Denver area roadbiking guide books, please let me know....cause I got a need for speed....
I plan on riding today and tomorrow as well. I am jealous that you can get out over lunch. I can't ride my bike to the place I am currently working.
we should really plan on meeting for a ride one weekend.

Awwww thanks for thinkin of me - that's sweet. Moving across country really threw me for a loop. I am currently temping, for work, and I feel like I spend so much other time looking for a full-time gig. I have been offered a couple of things, but I am still trying to break into pharmaceutical sales, so we'll see.
We got a taste of spring this weekend, and it was funny how quickly I can forget what that -9 degree day felt like. How's NC been? Have you been able to ride?
