    Another Newbie with Questions

    Hi All,
I am avid cyclist and am entering my first sprint tri the Mach Tenn in Tullahoma,TN in June.I have already started training, the 14 mile bike ride will be a breeze, just have to work on staying in the aerobars for that long!!I can survive the run, although I am built like a linebacker, and am not very fast.Like most,I believe the swim will be the hardest.I liked the idea of wearing a sports bra and compression shorts then throwing on my bike shorts, jersey and shoes to bike.My main question is:What type of sports bra provides the best support for a "full figured gal"?In the water and on the bike you have a modicum of support, but I during the run, what type of bra would be best? Thanks in advance for your replies.

My favorite sports bra (other TE'rs like these too) is the Sport Support by CW-X. It dries VERY quickly, has the best support I've ever worn, and is "headlight" proof.

I wear UnderArmor compression shorts with the longish inseam (slides well in the wetsuit and doesn't catch when pulling on my Terry Commuter Skort). These also dry very quickly, and prevent my skort chamois from bugging me during the run.

I have 36 DDD. Most of the sports bras out there are not even close to sufficient enough. I have tried on dozens of bras, my favorite is Moving Comfort Maia bra. I have heard that the Enell bra is great, but after 3 kids, breast feeding and weight gain and loss, my breasts, though large aren't that full. So the Enell bras just smushes them to my chest and I get uniboob. A person at a local tri shop told me that my bra wouldn't work for triathlons because of the metal fasteners and underwire, she said they might rust? I though this was odd, considering that we wash them in water. I am pretty sure she just wanted to sell me a bra. I have had one for over a year, dozens of open water swims, no problems. Try this site, it has a bra fit option that is awesome.

    Good luck
