I'm just curious as to what bikes the pros ride. I know a couple.

    Credit Agricole
    Liquigas
    Predictor-Lotto
    Quick Step
    Rabobank
    Milram

Not uncommon. Tons of the bikes are relabeled - particularly the TT bikes. Wiliers masquerading as something else.

Backstedt used to ride a repainted Pegoretti.

I don't think it is really that uncommon a practice. There was a bike up on ebay a while ago that belonged had once belonged to a top female usa racer. It had LeMond stickers pasted over the orignal brand (the current owner had started to peel them off....)

I have a book by Greg LeMond that shows him riding a Huffy! . For those not in that States, Huffys are sold by Walmart; Kmart, et al. Think $50US for a complete bike

Toyota-United mens pro team rides Fuji's, as does the Lipton womens pro team.

Ivan Dominguez of Toyota-United won the last stage of the Tour of Cali. Ivan and his T-U teammates will be in Merced CA (HERE!!) this weekend March 3-4 for the Merco Cycling Classic (former McLane Cycling Classic) to kick off the NRC racing season, as will more teams/riders that just finished up the TofC. Some of the top women's pro teams will be here also, including Team Lipton.

So, more bike hysteria this weekend.

No way...those gals could kick MINE fifty times over! They're pros...I'm a mere Cat4 wanna-be. I'll be racing though, just not against them!
