Trek420 - hope it's not too late to add me to the list for dinner? I'll be doing the metric.

As far as I know, yep. I've made reservations for 23, I told them I'll keep them posted if the list becomes larger or much smaller or we change our minds and want to meet in LA or ... that's a big one with me because I used to work in kitchens. When they have to turn down diners and then we don't show....it's bad.

I wonder what happened to the base? Anyway I hope it won't unhinge too many plans as many gals (with or without Prince Charming) got hotels near the start so's to ride there.

But the fairgrounds is nearby, I think the route passed it early on years past.

Out of towners, Alameda Fairgrounds Parking lot is unpaved, depending on weather we've had by then bring your cleat covers.

Are we still on for 7pm? (penciling it into my calendar)

I've got a sectional rehearsal that weekend that technically starts on Friday till Sunday but I'm skipping Friday to be with you all But, since I'll be singing all weekend, no alcohol for me. Oh well.

I'm assuming I'll be at the Hoilday Inn Express too, that's where we stayed last year.. (I'm traveling with a crew from UT...I just hand over my $$ and go where I'm told)

Unless this place is walking distance, I might need to bum a ride.

I'm planning to ride the metric. If I feel really ambitious, I might be in for the extended route. But we'll see how my rear feels after riding down from Sacremento.

I doubt it. I'll mention it to The Powers That Be...but last year everyone was in bed by 7:00 if I remember correctly...

    A couple things:

One of my group of six non-TE friends thinks she won't be riding afterall and her entry is up for grabs. If any of you know someone who could use it, please PM me and I'll make arrangements for the transfer.

Trek, can the rest of us join the ever burgeoning crowd for dinner? At this point there are five of us - five one, Shelley, Pam, Maren, and Lisa. I have also done my share of restaurant work and know how difficult it is to deal with large parties. If you (or Fuzio's) think it would be too big a group, we'll just show up on our own and visit your table.

    Unhappy Alameda Fairgrounds

The fairgrounds are off of Bernal if I recall correctly.

Haven't gotten my letter yet, but we're the home of the Pony Express (really!).

Just mapquest it. It's a bit of a ride from BART, but doable.

Sorry to hear that we lost Camp Parks. Something must have happened with the scheduling. It is a military base, you know!

Not excused from the Doctor- so I'm doing SAG this year.
But, I wouldn't miss pre dinner for anything!!! I'll bring the evidence for all of you to see so you'll know I'm not kidding!
