Mountain Bike components

Anybody have any experience with either the Fox Float RL or the Fox Float F80X forks?

Also is anybody using Shimano's XT STI shifters on their mountain bike?

We have STI on the tandem. I was wondering how well it would work on a mountain bike.

Thanks,

Veronica

Thumbs up Fox Fork

I love the Fox 80 RLT that's on my GT I-Drive. I tried the STI style shifters on a friends bike. Didn't care for it. Too much going on in one area for me.

I opted for the SRAM X.9 shifters to go with the SRAM X.0 rear derailer. Smooth and crisp.

Thanks for the replies. This is an old thread - June 04.

We've had our bikes for 13 months. We got Stumpjumpers with the Fox TerraLogic forks. We switched out the STI like shifters for non integrated shifters and have been very happy with the bikes.
