    New Bike

I'm so very excited! We called the dealer, and my new Gunnar Sport is "in paint" and should be at the bike shop within the next week to 10 days! It'll still have to be built up, and that probably won't be done right away... we want to be sure to give the paint time to *cure* so we don't ding it... but it's only a few weeks away!

Thanks you guys! Emily, the color I chose is Chameleon Metallic...

It's gonna be something like this>>> I'll post the *real* picture when I get the bike built up!

this is NOT my bike... mine's going to be a Gunnar Sport, not Roadie... but the look is very similar, and this is the color.

I love that color -- kinda minty!

I have green eyes and am told that I look good in green...so even though blue is my "favorite" color, green runs a close second, so I really like it! Can't wait to see pictures of *your* bike. Congrats again!

Thanks, everyone. There'll be pictures as soon as we get her built up!

KayTee... I think you guys may be too fast for me... I've seen the ride listed in the newsletter... Give me a little time to build my speed back up, and I'll make plans to come out!

Jeannie - come to Madison and ride with me - I'm NOT FAST .....and who knows? maybe we'll find a way to make KayTee's brakes rub & that'll slow her down so we can keep up

Now, now, I've already PM'd Jeannie to advise that I am NOT fast at this time of year especially...or anytime nowadays! The problem is DH, and as long as he has his little hammerhead buddies to play with or we're not on the Mothership (tandem), I will ride any speed...except his, of course. I can't wait to meet y'all and ride with the gorgeous Gunnar and lovely IF!

Jane, I've been warned about the hills around where you are... but I'm excited about the possibility to ride with both of you! KayTee'll have to slow down, and we'll have to say OFF the mountain climbs until I get my bike legs back under me!

(Does it matter if I've hijacked my own thread?) I'll have to figure out my schedule once the bike gets here - since it's retail, I'm expected to work most weekends (and need to 'cuz that's when a lot of the commission is made), but I have vacation and personal time available to me.

    Let's keep the planning going.
