Has anyone ever experienced getting a head ache during a ride? I have three times so far. It seems to happen when my heart rate jumps up quick. I am not sure if this is normal. Any thoughts or recommendations are appreciated.

How long are the rides?
Some possible culprits: dehydration and lack of energy (food).
Does the headache start as soon as you get onto a climb, or does it start after you've been climbing a bit?

monique - thanks for the reply.
The headache (strong pain) seemed to have started in the begining of rides, it seems to happen when I push hard to quick. One time I noticed I got the head pain right after going up a hill (heart rate went up but not max) Then another time was just on a flat but I was pushing hard. I went for a ride yesterday and wanted to catch up to someone riding in the distance so I started to pedal harder and faster then into a sprint and I got the head pain again. The head pain always subsides shortly after I get it.
I'm not sure if it is blood pressure related or dehydration? It is very strange though because I have pushed hard many other times and I was fine no headache. Perhaps I need to warm up before I push so hard? Even still this does not seem healthy....

Are you ever hungry when you're riding?
You may want to talk to your doctor to see if they have any ideas.
