I probably should have asked this beforehand, but....anyone have any experience with this online retailer?

    Many times, always good service!

OTG just reminded me... be sure to click on the Instant Coupons link on the left hand side. You can compare offers and see which one will save you the most money (i.e. discounts, free shipping etc...). They are pretty good with offering seasonal/holiday discounts, too.

I have used it, too. There is a discount code if you register (for free) at beginnertriathlete.com.

Too bad, I had registered at BT but didn't notice the coupon code and already ordered my items. I was just having some problems with the service and was wondering if anyone else had had bad experiences with them.

    Hm... what kind of problems?

I have also had good luck with www.tri-zone.com
They are clearing out their 2006 tri gear. I got my wetsuit from them.

    Yes!!!!

They are on par with TE as to service!! Seton and the gang are AWESOME!! So if you are having a problem call and ask to talk to Seton. He will make it right I'm sure. Rudy is also my #1 bike guy! He is just the nicest guy.

I am blessed to be close enough to actually be able to go to their retail store.
They are also just like TE in that they ship quick as well!
On checkout enter the discount code TNO (tri newbies online) and they will give you the discount.

I've generally had a positive experience with them.

However, I think there was one occassion when I ordered several items that their website showed as being in stock. A day later I got an email that some of the items weren't actually in stock. It was sort of annoying- it took a little bit of back and forth to figure out what colors they actually had in my size in stock. (Some retailers seem to do this- not keep their website fully updated- I assume that if it's in stock on the website they have it, but it's not always the case.)

Yes, that is one of the problems I am having. I ordered several things. one item they did not have in the color I wanted and it was backordered and I had to pick another color, and the other item was 'discontinued'. They said they didn't ccarry it at all, however, the website still showed them as having it.

I was also having problems getting the money for the discontinued item back onto my card, but they said it should go through in a day or so and hopefully it works.
