Mmmmmm pie. Now I'm hungry.
That reminds me, I promised DH I'd make a cherry pie this week.

The pie was very nice, warm slightly tangy apples, soft but not squishy, contrasted with sweet cinnamon sugar oozing between them, all sandwiched into a flaky crust.
V.
Noooo. That's so unfair.
OK, cherry pie all round. The only catch is that you have to come here for it and I don't know that my pie is good enough to make a transatlantic flight worthwhile.
Now, why are there no cycling jerseys with pie on them?
Pie reminds me of summer. Is it summer yet? Oh wait, it hasn't even hit spring.

I was wondering how this thread got reawakened . If V still hasn't eaten that pie from January '07, it's definitely beyond the "save-it-for-Thom-for-the-sake-of-presentation" stage! I was relieved to find there were more recent pies introduced into the thread lately. Whew!
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
One of our stodgy old tv meteorologists got asked in an interview once whether there were any folksy weather signs he believed in ... ya'know, like lots of rohan berries means no snow, or lots of rohan berries means lots of snow (yep, both are thought to be true, though maybe not by the same people). Anyways. he said there was one he thought held up to scientific testing:
If the lake ice can support a grown horse at Midsummers ...
Then we're going to have a late Spring.
