    Great tune up!

I picked up my Trek Pilot 5.0 a few days ago. I've had her for 2 years and 6000 miles. She was running just fine, but I thought I'd have some maintenance done on her. They replaced all the cables and took her apart, regreased her, and checked her over for any problems. OH MY! She's incredible now! Sooooo smoooooooth. I can hardly believe it. The chain they'd ordered for her wasn't in yet so I'll take her back for that and then I guess I'll feel like I have wings.

The guys at my LBS made me feel so good. They said they liked for my bike to come in because she was always nice and clean. I just beamed. The last time I'd used Pedros Bike Lust on her, I had 2 people ask me if I had a new bike. Anyway I just want to let y'all know that good maintenance pays off.

It's a great feeling when someone does a good tune up on your bike. I got my bike new in July and had put about 1800 miles on it. I noticed some problems shifting and tried to adjust things myself but just made it worse. Took it into an LBS for the first time (I had bought the bike too far away for tuneups) and was very worried that they might screw up my beautiful bike.
Got it back in 24 hours and I was amazed at how wonderfully it now rides- way smoother than even when it was new!! They even found a couple of things that I hadn't noticed that were wrong and fixed them, and I could see the good end results clearly. It's a real treat to get a well done tune up!

I put over 3000 miles on my Luna since May and she was having problems shifting. I changed the drive train, cleaned and regreased the pulleys. I had my LBS put the chain on and adjust the derailuer(sp?) and now she rides amazingly. I also got new tires which totally changed the ride. I really didn't believe they would make much of a difference, but I was wrong. It's like having a new bike again. And I love doing as much of the maintenance as I can (and as my partner will help me with) myself. Love that grease!

yeah, I dropped mine off at my LBS before I left for my parent's house in FLA for a week during the holidays. when I picked it up after I got back and rode it, uuuugh felt so freaking good. i could tell that my cables and deraillures needed adjusting.

might have also made it a little different putting on my new wheels (with new tires) for the first time on that ride, too.
