movie review - Beijing Bicycle

DH & I got this movie on Netflix.
It is in chinese but there are great subtitles in english.
It's about a poor country boy who comes to the city to
be a bike messenger. You get a good idea how important
bikes are to the chinese by watching this movie.
This movie made us laugh, cry, get outraged and frustrated all at the same
time. Cinematography was phenomenal. The protagonist is entirely believable
and lovable (cute young guy)

I recommend it. There is some violence, but nothing compared to some very popular american movies!

Thank you for the recommendation! I'll have to check it out. I've just read an excellent article in this month's Bicycling magazine, about the future of cycling in China (and of the "Flying Pigeon" bicycle) - so I'm especially eager to check out the scenery & learn more.
