Last night i went to a Bike Banquet to honour Gord Fraser's retirement as well as suppor the Echelon Project to encourage youth into the sport of cycling.
There was a draw for several prizes and i won the Prologue Bike frame.
So i am taking a bit of a survey...
do i keep it for myself? (i have a really nice True North road bike i bought from a friend)
Do i give it to hubby (he doesn't ride road allthat much)
Do i sell it?
What do you think?
Thanks!

Gosh, I guess I don't know enough about the bike you have or the one you won, but I guess I'd be inclined to keep the better of the two at the very least. I'd probably keep both truth be told.![]()

I couldn't find anything about it? who makes it?
Congratulations on winning it!
with more information we can probably give better advice, but if it doesn't absolutely SEND you, sell it! why not
(but i have no idea what it's worth, what it is..)
Winning a bike is really fun!
Do you get to choose the size? It sounds like it from your post.
Some things to consider when thinking about keeping it or not:
1. If I don't get to choose the size does it fit me (or the hubby?)
2. Do I want/need more than one bike? Most folks here would say you can never have too many bikesand I think having a rain bike is a nice thing.
3. If I don't want multiple bikes, will I be able to sell the old one?
4. Can I afford to / do I want to spend the money to build it up? I recently won a frame/fork/headset too, but it still cost me about $900 in parts and labor to finish it off and I already had wheels and shifters to put on it. I'm sure you can do it cheaper than this, but it still takes some money. If you can transfer the components from your old bike to the new one that of course will save you a lot of money.
5. If I sell it instead of keeping it can I get enough for something else that I really want? (a new trainer, a really nice jacket, new Sidis........)
Of course when someone comments on your new bike it is really cool/fun to be able to say Yeah, this is the one that I won......

If it were me I would probably sell the frame on eBay.
I'll sell it for you and split the $$, LOL.
Of course I'm kidding.....however most contest give you the option of taking the money instead of the item maybe you'll be able to do that?
Anyway have fun whatever you decide it's still awesome to have won something!

If I just won a frame ... I'd prob'ly never get around to turning it into a bike. I'd go to my LBS and talk to them and find out what that would entail... and then decide whether I wanted it or whether I should sell it. If it's going to decorate the house or garage... help it find a home where it will be ridden! Or, do what it takes to make it a valued addition to your stable.
Thanks Ladies!
Well, the frame is slightly big for me, but it appears it will fit hubby well. After many puppy dog looks at me, i caved and i will be giving it to hubby. He has been staring at it all weekend
