    Recovery week - what volume?

I'm going to ask my trainer this, but wanted to throw the question out here first.

How much volume do you during a recovery week?

I've never actually done a recovery week before, but I need one. Starting to feel just not as fresh.

If you do a recovery week every fourth week, do you go down to the volume of the first week? Less than the volume from the first week? A certain percentage of the volume from the third (hardest) week?

    Hey offthegrid,
Don't know what the experts will tell you, but when I take recovery weeks, it usually means that I'm backing down about 25-30% from the previous week (depending on which phase of training I'm in).
If you feel like your body needs a break, by all means take it!!! You need to step back every now and then to not only get a mental break, but to let your body reap the benefits of the previous weeks of hard conditioning.
    Rest well!
