    rear bike racks

The bike racks came on our bikes as a freebie, along with fenders. You know, a "buy this month and get this free" deal. The fenders are lightweight and probably very cheap, but the bike rack is solid feeling.

It's about 13" long. Is that standard, or do they come in different lengths? Now that my Brooks saddle is pushed back as far as it will go (and I may get one of those slanty posts to push it back farther) my bike basket won't fit on the rack because the rack isn't long enough. I love my basket, but can't use it any more.

    I think they're pretty standard.
Not sure what your rack looks like, but can you loosen it up and slide it back?
The arm pieces that attach the rack to the chainstays may be adjustable and allow you to slide the rack rearward a bit - enough to allow you to use the basket again.

I'll look and see. No chainstays since it's a chainless bike, but there may be another way to slide it. Thanks!
