It must have been interval training day, beacuse I hit every traffic light on my 12 mile journey. Otherwise, it was uneventful. went up throught the pepper trees again

I did my most frequent 20 mile ride today. About 40 dgrees, VERY windy!
I was warmly enough dressed, except my fingers got really cold and red despite my new Louis Garneau wind-stopping long gloves. Obviously will need more once it gets into the 30's for my rides. Too bad because I really like the gloves- will have to use them for warmer weather in the 50's.

I would have really enjoyed my cold windy ride today, but...
Got halfway through my ride and slowly started getting an upset stomache- extreme pains. Didnt seem like it was related to food though, and I had had my usual breakfast and was drinking electrolyte water throughout.
Every bump in the road was torture, and I had to stop and sit like 4 times on my way back, and walk slowly up the last hills. It was terrible. You know those upset stomace pains where you feel like you can't even stand up straight?...If I had a cell phone I would have called DH to pick me up, but he was off on his own bike ride anyway, as it turns out.
Hobbled and rode through the last 7 miles somehow and gratefully lay down in bed.
I suspect now that my new tights had the drawstring too tight- has this happened to anyone else?? I only occured to me when I got home, and I loosened it considerably. Didn't really SEEM too tight but it WAS pretty snug during my ride. Can this cause terrible upset stomache pains??
Thankfully, I feel all better now, and at least I did get a 20 mile ride in today.

I had a really sweet commute in moderate rain on my awesome new-to-me bicycle. (And by the way, there's a dutch folding bike going for dirt cheap in 23 hours on e-bay.)

Robyn and I did an 18 mile ride starting at 3:30 pm, looping through Concord and Carlisle. Cool breezy weather, but nice to get out before the time change shortens the afternoons.
