where is tarbaby rat embryo?

I remember reading the sadly exquisite little story about tarbaby rat embryo a while back.

Aside from the usual slowly decomposing road kill victims, lately on my daily ride i see the same piece of curled black rubber tire tread on the edge of the road in the weeds every time I pass a certain spot on the highway- it always makes me think of tarbaby ratty. I tried searching for his thread on TE but can not find it.
Where is tarbaby rat embryo?
