In for a tube... out with a Gazelle ?!?!

So, I wanted to go by the bike shop to say howdy and get a tube, 'cause the Trek front tire has a slow leak.
There's a man with a gazelle in there talking to the LBS guy. "It's yours for $400." He's going back home and has to take the kids instead of the bicycle. It's a Dutch commuting bicycle... internal hub, skirt guard, ... I saw one of these once and have been carrying a torch for it ever since... I couldn't find my checkbook there so I had to come home (and I don't do $400 impulse buys). Fritz said he was just telling the man that "yes, the right person will not cough at $400."

So it looks like I'll have to use the car to go get the thing ;-) There will be pictures...

Oh, yes... though it was after closing time and maybe *that* was why P only charged me $1.62 for it (I didn't even buy the bike from the shop - it was just a guy that came in who was trying to sell it) ... sometimes I can read his mind and sometimes I can't.

I called the guy and we'll make the transaction Wednesdya.... I CAN"T WAIT.....

Do you know which type it is?
Gazelle normally delivers good quality in these type of bikes and they can last very long without much maintenance. You should see the old gazelles that still ride out here.

Hiya Geonz, I think you pedaled by me (in front of IMPE) the other day...or it was someone else on a SUB (very cool bike BTW).

I just googled up the Gazelle, what an awesome piece of machinery...think Peter and Fritz might add it to the line-up??
