    Wahay!!!

Just came back from my shopping trip to our local supermarket. 8.96 miles (I know, not a lot compared to more experienced cyclists), twice what I've done up till now. My average speed was 15.3 mph and top speed 39.9 mph which was on a fairly gentle gradient. Total time out on the bike 35 minutes. On the way back it is mostly uphill and I was carrying some groceries in my back pack. I had two stops on the way back - once when I felt my muscles really protesting so stopped for a minute or two then, just when I was going up a fairly steep, longish hill, had got into a good rhythm hubby decided to phone me

Oh well. Never mind. Anyway, I'm feeling quite pleased with myself and enjoyed the bike ride. It was also the first time I've cycled in the dark for many years and was quite impressed with my new lights (Cat Eye). Hubby arrived home just after I'd pulled up at our door and said he saw my rear light from quite a distance back and wondered if it was me.

I've got the feel-good factor again

I nearly did too There I am whizzing down the road (it's a long straight, wide road) going "Whoa Bike! Whoa!!!"

Next time I'll break the speed limit which is 40 mph heh-heh.
