    Running Update

Well, as you may (maybe not?!) have noticed... I have stopped posting a weekly running coach update.

It's pretty much standard stuff these days... I go see him... we practice some drills... then I go off during the week to practice my drills and I run.

This past week though has been VERY PROMISING!

For the past two-three weeks I have been running 1.75 miles, 2 times a week. I can run it without stopping... which I am very proud of.

Then, on Wednesday, I went to track and ran:

1st mile- 11 minutes (I stopped to stretch in the middle of it)
REST BREAK for approximately 1 minute

    2nd mile- 9 minutes
REST BREAK for approximately 1 minute

    3rd mile- 10 minutes

For me running that far... was impressive! And the pain on the inside of my lower legs, the area that has been inflamed... after the 1st mile... IT STOPPED HURTING! In fact, it didn't even flare up after running either (I did ice my legs for about 2 hours that night).

I do have some tightness/pain up the lower half of my legs on the backside... but very manageable pain.

So, there's a running update. I do see hope on the horizon. I'm not sure I will ever run without any pain... but I think I will be running with pain that I can manage.

Thanks for reading... and for all the support you have provided over the months. I truly do appreciate it!

    KSH,
Thank you for the update. And I have indeed been reading them and following along to the best of my ability. You are doing so well. As my son's CC team says, "run fast or get run over".
