Waaaay more fear on the mountain bike for me! It's not logical, I know, 'cause I've never gotten seriously hurt off-road and I sure have on the road! But I still find myself on the edge of fear most of the time I'm on the mountain bike. I don't feel in control if I go fast and if I go too slow, I not only fall way behind, but it's impossible to get over some of the technical stuff with no momentum. So I blunder along and do my best, never feeling as comfortable as I'd like. Part of it is simply needing more time on that bike. I plan to ride it more this year so maybe that will make it better.
I hope so!
The road bike feels like an extension of my body sometimes. It's awesome.
Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived." Captain Jean Luc Picard
