Everything on the bike works now. All the gears are working smoothly. All it needed was a clean and some light lubrication on the pivot points. Now all I need to do is build up some stamina, possibly join one of the local bike clubs and enjoy my bike

Yes, get riding! And don't wait to build up stamina before riding with others...that's like cleaning up your house before the cleaning person comes (not that I HAVE a cleaning person or anything!)
