I had posted earlier about looking for a messenger bag. Well, I started thinking maybe instead of buying a msgr bag I'd go for a small UL alpine backpack, something that wouldn't be heavy on my back and that didn't have much padding. I was this close to buying one, when I was out in SLC getting snowed on for a good cause.

Then my intentions are busted because, apparently Timbuk2 rocks!

The charity event I went to gave out these awesome Timbuk2 messenger bags for those who raised a certain amount of money, so I didn't have to buy a pack afterall! Dunno if timbuk2 donated em in the name of charity or gave a discount, or what, but either way it was a pretty sweet gift!

I used the bag today for the first time, and it was pretty nifty! Of course, we'll see how it handles on a warmer day (it was a bit nipply this morning) but it was pretty much stuffed full and still rode fairly comfortably on my back, only slipping once and that was before I really adjusted the stabilizer strap.

SWEET timbuk2 you guys rock!
