"I've been meaning to ask - do we consider Northern California (including the SF Bay area & Sacramento) to fall into the "North West" category or the "South West" category if we want to talk about places to ride?

Philosophically I'd put it into NorthWest , but perhaps all of California goes into SouthWest by default ...?

not official or anything, just my humble opinion: everything south of Monterey is Southern California to me, I looove the central coast, but it's So. Cal. Then Northern CA to Oregon border then it's Pacific Northwest. Lost Coast is its own category.
