I responded but Lise was probably hogging the conversation.

    OMG I Forgot To Mention!!!!!!!!!

My brevet cards came back all certified or whatever they do, from Paris today. Also three of the four medals. (The 200k is delayed). They are _gorgeous!!!!!!_ I have to take a picture of them when I rescue the camera out of the truck when it stops raining.

Medals: The medals noting the successful completion of the brevets are: a bronze medal for 200 KM, a silver-plate medal for 300 KM, a vermilion medal for 400 KM, a gold medal for 600 KM, and a silver medal for 1000 KM. The design of the medals will change after each PBP.

Al has a movie??? I had not heard this.

Hershey's kisses (as awful as they are) have been jumping up and waving their little tags at me all day.

    Heading home...

We really need to do a TE TD get together! Some more chocolate pie ought to get me thoroughly sugared up for a tow of MP in the trailer.

I'd kind of like to frame them. I have that one picture of me, at 300 miles, that isn't absolutely disgusting- I even allowed it to be published in the club newsletter. Probably I should wait until I get the Super Randonneur Medal (for the 200,300,400,600 series) and the R12 Award that I am working so hard on.

I missed that whole Fagalo Fagalo Fagalo post. That name fits him so well.

This is more like my usual picture- the guy who took it, Rob, the group leader, calls it "Cactus Dance." I was picking cactus leaves for the babies, trying not to get stabbed by something on my way back out from the bush. If there is any possible way to look dorky, or fat, or have a stupid expression instead of a cute smile- someone will take a picture of me doing it!

Al Gore. The man who would have been president if your neighbors had figured out how to work the little vote-y machine thingy.

Wow Nanci - I really like that picture. You look like you are dancing, and your hands are in sort of a dainty pose. Very cool.

Excellent about the brevet cards. You must make a display. I should have ordered the 600k medal. That was dumb. Oh well. Next year.

And SK - what exactly do you think I would be "leaking" from the holly bush? Blood from the anti-coags or tequila??

MP, the RBA might be able to order the medal for you still. I don't think they change them until 2008, so you still have time to (save the whales) collect the whole set! (Every time I say collect the whole set, I think of that bumper sticker).

Did you notice I am holding a cactus pad in each hand?

Those are the new beloved shorts. They are extra-long on my short legs.

I hope they hold up well.

Cute pic, Nanci. (Thanks for the uploading advice. Just need to work on my photo software.)

Shorts too long?Tuck and fold the extra fabric and roll up the elastic bottom.

    Cactus pads? Why?

Bogle - good. Sauv Blanc and Cab. Mmmmmmmm!
Brancott Pinot Noir - A New Zealand wine. Tasty!!!
