Sweet, thanks Snap! I was feeling all forlorn at my LBS looking at those yucky black fenders.

My SO thinks black looks "stealthy" so she buys a lot of things in black. Do you have a pic of Aranciata?

I agree. At my age I no longer have speed so I have to rely on stealth.

My bad. I just realized that your avatar is a person?? Alfonsina Morini??? I am going straight to Google.

    Thanks,

Did you read up on Alfonsina yet?
She's so cool. Theoretically my article will be published in the Bicycle Quarterly. The publisher of that magazine is going to Italy and plans to take some pictures of Alfonsina's bike! I am guessing that he will share.

Well, it is still dark and I have been awake for an hour. I took my first dose of fosamax (which is anti-osteoporosis) but it is a very controversial drug so I am worried about taking it. You have to take it and stay upright for 30 minutes
(or it will damage your esophagus!!)
and not eat anything for those 30 minutes either.

Mimi, that doesn't sound like any fun at all! I was blessed with bones like a draft horse so my doc doesn't think I'll have any issues with osteoporosis.

We have a buncha snow here today so it looks like the only workout I'm going to get will be at the gym...on the upside the gym has a lovely hot tub!

Good luck with the fosamax mimi. How strange about having to stay upright.

I have to take a calcium supplement due to bone density loss because of steriod treatment so you have my sympathies.

my sister has "draft horse bones" too and she's got it. She's short with huge bones and she's also overweight, and it got her too. It's genetic unfortunately.

What's most unfun about it is that I am not sure that this really nasty strong drug does any good at all!

I only have anecdotal evidence mimi - but a friend of my mom's takes fosamax too - it does help her. Is that the once a week pill?

Well, well, well..... I have to admit, when this thread got moved, it took a lot of steam outta my sails. I don't have time to keep up with multi threads right at this moment in time but I'm trying. I finally got back here today and see that Queen "bumped" TD a few posts back. Whodathunk we would ever do that? **shaking my head in disbelief**

For me, the 21st has held some bad memories over the years. My Dad died on 3/21, my bad accident happened on 5/21 (I was also 21), a former love was killed on 6/21 (this is also my Dad's b-day, so you can imagine that one was especially hard), my oldest bro told me he hates my guts and I'm no longer family on 11/21... (we haven't spoken since - over 2 yrs, but it's actually not a bad thing really cuz he's a total azz!) So here we are again on another 21st. It's my 2nd bro's b-day today and I know it's gonna be a "you aren't quite good enough for us" kinda day. (I don't keep up with the Joneses well enough for them, never got married, don't have kids...blah, blah, blah. My bad. )

So I'd like to see us hit 10K today. What do you say ladies?! I'd really like to change the tide for today anyway and have a good one this time. Even if it's just here on TD.

So thanks for all of the laughs you've given me over the last few months. You have no idea how it has helped to get me through some not-horrible-but-less-than-stellar days. I've gained some wonderful friends and acquired some sisters along the way... I've met a few and my life has been made much richer for it. I look forward to meeting many more and giving them a hug in person. And most of it started here on this thread. Again, I thank you all.

Here's "my boys" on You Tube, just for you ladies.

Have a fantastic day, take care and be safe.

    Cindy

yes, Snap, that's the one. Someone refered to it as "DRAINO" !!!
I will be seeing my dentist in a few weeks and will ask him about it. apparently
it rots teeth and jawbones for some people. (is that odd, or what?)

X, it should be easy to get to 10k today.
I am sorry this is a bad day today.
My grandfather would be 110 years old if he was still around today.
