I spent some time today modifying my hammock by sewing buckles onto the straps near the hammock and loops in the strap ends. Now, instead of having 7 feet of strap attached to each end of the hammock, it has short pigtails with buckles. And instead of wrapping straps 3-4 times around the tree and tying a knot, I just girth hitch them and thread them through the buckles. Now I can adjust it easily without retying knots. Here's a picture. The green part is the hammock, the gray part is an overbag that I slide around the hammock after I'm inside to keep my bottomside warm.

I just spoke with them and X was shopping in Trader Joe's-her first time ever!
I was helping her choose the correct TJ foods.
I will let her tell everyone about it tonight and she promised photos.

My lymph nodes are all swollen. I am at the 'painful scratchy throat' part of my cold. I hope we both get to feeling better soon.
