((((BMO)))) from me too. I agree with Lisa - you are such a strong woman, physically and emotionally. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.

And Merry Christmas to all of you on TD! I survived this last hectic week at school and tomorrow we're off to Vancouver for a few days with my sister's family. I'll be back on Boxing Day (that's the 26th to you 'mericans...)

Heaven's no! I have a lovely little box of chocolates staring at me right now. And calling my name, no, screaming my name.. They are delish.

Nanci - Grog linked to some bike bells in another post - I found one for you.

THANK YOU X! THANK YOU X! THANK YOU X! THANK YOU X!

Geez - I just realized I did not thank X for the cinnamon chips! They arrived in the nick 'o time, along with some lovely Wilbur buds, and a small pile of Hershey PA propaganda Wilbur buds are yummy, as are the Cinnamon chips.

The cookies I made with the cinnamon chips....not so much. They're OK, but I need to tweak the recipe a bit. They have great potential!

Jennifer, (I wrote this hours ago, i guess i never hit "Send")
Take it a step at a time. I like the fact that you can start riding in a week.
    that's great!

a narrow artery in your brain huh, too bad they can't stretch it a little (like with a stent) what do i know.

Good luck on the no migraine medicine. But on the other hand more of the other stuff might do the trick.

    Mimi,
I had enough Wilbur Buds today for all of TD, no all of TE!

Spokewench-Have a wonderful time and safe travels.

Kit-Safe travels for you as well. Have a great visit.

X-I want medical clearance for you first.

MP-the stroke happened on the right side, so the left sided artery should not have caused the problem. I see him in 4 weeks. I can ask lots of questions I forgot to ask. Congrats on being cleared.

KG-another Tder traveling. Safe travels and have a wonderful visit.

Snap-cool bell! Share the cinnamon chip recipe. Mr. Z made the ones on the package-oatmeal cinnamon chip cookies and they were really good.
Oh I am SO glad I was not the only one drawn by the call of Wilbur Buds.

    (((((Mimi)))))

Trek-Thanks. I am trying the trainer in 1 week.

    CWR-Welcome Back!!!!

Do you have an acupuncturist? Can you find one? (if the answers are "no", PM me and I'll help you find a couple good ones to try out)

I'm a big believer in acupuncture, I've seen it and acustim do some amazing things for my patients. (and you can buy acustim machines for home use if your doctor gives approval. just please don't do any of the acu points on the skull, those react weirdly to acustim)

Trek - I like your idea of a TE tandem. BMo3, I do worry about your balance on a bike starting up again, and if there's a TE'r around with a tandem who can help you assess your balance/refresh your balance on a bike that'd be awesome!

I am sure there is an acupuncturist near me, but whether or not they are any good, I would not know. I have never had it done. I like accupressure.

I will try the trainer with DH right by me, I promise.

if you like accupressure, you'll like acupuncture too. I agree with Knott
do try alternative medicine when drugs aren't helping (or not permitted!)

IT doesn't always help, but it's worth a try. And I have an old "migrane" trick.
put your feet in wet socks. your body will try to warmyour feet and blood
will go there instead of your head. I've never tried it when i had a bad headache because the misery of cold feet is something i didn't welcome.
