    Pepto Bismol Fixes

Diarrhea!! Like when you go to Mexico, and despite not drinking the water, you get it anyway, a couple doses of Pepto Bismol tablets, and you're through going for the rest of the week!

Toad urine is apparently like a fine wine to _some_ more malleable snakes.

I had an almost cramp in whatever quad is the inner-most one. It was doing this ripple-y thing, and I just eased up, then switched to taking electrolytes every half hour instead of every hour, and it never came back. But I was reading this article about cramping on ultracycling.com that had some technical explanation having to do with...it's too hard to explain. But the author is someone who I extremely highly respect, or I would have discounted the information.

What happens if she doesn't eat the food you're offering her?

I got it, and I love it. I'm watching it a bit at a time, when I get a chance. I understand that other people might find watching PR complain about being sick kind of annoying, but I'd probably pay to watch him read the phone book. Poor guy, he had MRSA (a life-threatening systemic staphlococcal infection, for those TD's who don't work in health care). They wanted to hospitalize him and put him on IV abx, but he refused and went to Dubai, on p.o. abx, to fulfill a sponsorship committment. I actually kind of find it comforting that such an incredible triathlete also struggles, really struggles sometimes. I like him even better. I think it would be a good present for BF, since it's all about IM caliber triathletes, and champions at that.

PR clearly has what Running Mommy referred to as "issues", but I relate to him. Plus I noticed that J's legs are long and lean like PR's! OK, maybe not quite like PR's, but close enough. J. thinks his own legs are skinny; PR's brother refers to Peter as "a skinny little guy" when he's dressed in civvys, and "a giant" when he's racing. I love long, lean, muscular legs.

Don't know about the chicken broth yet. It's worked for some. I'm not checking her till morning. Other scenting things that may work are Ivory Soap, toads, tree frogs, anoles and tuna fish. I sure like my Mr. Toad- he's a great pet even if his smell isn't helping.

Nanci - Great article on cramps. I only get them when I go really really hard and go over my training limit, most of the time it is under race conditions, but people are always asking me about how to get rid of them and what causes them so now I have a better idea what to tell them.

Chickwhorips: I wish I could send you bowls of fresh veges and fruits! I would die if I couldn't have fresh veges and fruits. Were you coming to Arizona soon on a trip?

Mtbdarby: Sorry about your back. I've had a bad back since I was in my mid 20's so I am constantly fighting that ongoing pain. I know it can be really frustrating and depressing. Hang in there.

Toad urine scented mice - what will they think of next??? I have a chi that likes to mark EVERYTHING so if the chicken broth doesn't work I could bottle Kong's urine for ya. Just trying to help Nanci

eewww...... I'm gonna go fry up some tilapia now.....

OH And I know from "earlydrinkingdays" experience that taking a big swig of pepto after a night of drinking just before beddyby along with a bigmac and 2 tylonel keeps hang-overs at bay....

I'm in love with my sidewalk. I just had to go check it, in the middle of Grey's Anatomy, to see how it looked with the solar lights on. As if I didn't know. I think I need a couple more lights, though. And another orange sedge grass. And some more tiny plants to go in the cracks. I won't stop until the entire five acres is one big patio!! I _will_ post a pic, when it's a nice day and the torts are out and I add a few more things. I love those big Gerber daisies. I planted one in a crack, and a huge one in a big pot. I also planted a some sort of lavender that smells like lemon. Koko tried some basil. Buttercup...she's the next best thing to Addy. She _does_ eat, but only one thing, and only if conditions are perfect, and not nearly as much as I'd like her to eat.

I'm having super-major pre-birthday depression right now...Could be brought on my Grey's Anatomy. I'd say more, but we all know that Google will find every last word which could come back to haunt us.

On a happier note- twice, while wearing floral purple pajama pants, a hummingbird moth has tried to suck my leg.

Lise, if she doesn't eat, if she loses "too much" weight, I let her go. I'd rather have a snake that eats reliably than have PR as a BF.

Nanci-I know your birthday is soon, what day exactly? I have never watched Grey's Anatomy, so all references are lost on me. Are you usually sad befor your birthday? I love birthdays. It means I managed to live another year.

    Is your BF still away?

When do we get pics of the grazing area?

Immodium is my OTC of choice.

Is this birthday one that is bothering you?? I've gotta agree with BoM3! Every birthday is another year alive! SO much better than the alternative. And you are so active and involved in life, etc. Age just shouldn't matter. Or maybe that's not what's getting you down. Whatever it is, I hope you perk up.

I'm trying to picture a moth sucking the leg of a human............ Cool!

Lisa SH - my mom gave us 7-Up when we had stomach aches. To this day, I associate it with puking. Ugh.

Finally, finally got my home gym set up with a weight bench, some free weights and a bike on the trainer. All my myself in the basement, so I can go down whenever I have time and not bother anyone! Yea!! Does this mean I'll work out more often? I hope so, ::keeping fingers crossed:: I did both today. I'll be needing a massage tomorrow.

I see- this place *is* quiet without my endless jabber. Who knew? Work went well, I think. Lots to learn but lots of it is pretty intuitive or common sense. good times. Drove my bike route and found it to be *exactly* ten miles. Also found a shower room (still in existance!) in the building, but no one has the keys ... and a bike locker... with similar key situation Oh well. Apparently the front desk ladies are pretty talkative, and impressed with my plot to bike to work, so they've been (apparently) telling others about my plans so other people would come up to my desk and ask me about it, usually following with "Won't you get wet?" or "Isn't it scary?" or my favorite "What about the cars?!" fun, fun.

X- You're welcome After much deliberation, I think you should write the TD Cliff's notes. You read TD much more thoughtfully than I do, I think.

CWR- I was actually sad when you removed Rosie- glad to have her back. She personified your screen name for me, I think.
