Talking The Final Tierra Bella Thread

    I promise!

So I know that CindySue and BikeMomma are going to be there. I will, and my hubby is coming along to support me and ride alongside. Is anyone else going to be riding? Snapdragen, did you find out what your function will be that day?

I am non-functional, so I'm sleeping in! Never heard back from anyone

I will be delivering nut bread on Friday - so you may be eating some of my legendary cooking

Snap!! Well, why don't you come and ride the 60K with me? Can you get a special dispensation from the Tierra Bella gods and ride? Or do you really want to sleep in???

    Party-pooper.

I forgot to mention that any TE folk that we run into will be treated to an oatmeal cookie. I just got the new issue of Cook's Illustrated and the oatmeal cookie recipe looks divine. Includes pecans, dried cherries and chocolate chunks. I'm making up the maiden batch on Friday night.

I'll be riding the 100k. And I love oatmeal cookies. We're driving from Concord, so will probably start riding between 7-7:30.

    Totally Off-Thread

I saw a double quote here....how do you do a double quote???
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

I click quote on the first persons message - then I copy it out of the edit window. I then click quote on the second person's message and paste the first message in the 2nd edit window which now has the 2nd message. Hope this helps!

Hey Kim, If you're doing the 100k, I think you have to wait til 8am to register - unless you are registering the night before in San Jose. I'm coming from Walnut Creek (right next to ya) and not looking forward to the 1 1/2 hr + drive. I'll be getting up between 4:30 and 5:00am. Ugh!
    Cheers!

In the past they were pretty lenient about registration times, and I'm assuming they will be this year too. I'd like to wait until 8 (and sunshine), but analboy likes to start asap.

    When do the cookies arrive?

Is this the same boy who drove you clear to Ione by 7 am? We may have to rename him "the pilot". I don't think "the driver" applies any longer.

    Hey Cindysue!
I'm doing the 100km. You're doing the full century, right?
