I have some pretty blue Shebeest Triple SSS shorts I got on TE awhile back -- they are fun to wear and are cut the same as typical black shorts. I love color since I sometimes get bored with black too!

No problem! I will do my grunt and wiggle dance for you any time! The super tight black Sportful Anaconda jersey I got to go with it, well, kinda snug now. Oh well, I see my chubby little thighs wrapped in not so flattering white as motivation, rather than embarrassment. If I think about quitting I just have to look at my chubby white sausage casings and keep rolling!

Trashy Cat used to have great patterned and multi-colored shorts. Now it looks like all they have are black or blue. However, it looks like some of the old stuff is still available in their "back alley" sale area.

    Castelli

Castelli has some black and white shorts. They look really cool...on the hanger. I'm afraid to try them on!

    I like these: http://www.sugoi.ca/item/86973/SUG38103F

I tried them on and really liked them, but they only had one pair in my size and the pocket was ripped. I haven't gotten around to ordering them yet so I can't tell you how they are to ride in, but they do come in pink, blue and brown (and of course black!)

I've tried on a few different pairs of the Castelli shorts. They are really cool, but I needed to size up and they didn't have the next size (the ones I tried on pinched at the elastic - talk about sausage casings! eew!). The chamois is very butt-conforming so you don't get that maxi-look. Really nice.

I have these from 2XU in blue with the white accents. They are a tri-short and have a very minimal microfleece chamois, so don't buy them if you like a thick padded chamois. I love mine with the Deva WTB saddle... finally no more chafing issues.

Yeah, I tried castelli's as well, and I also have to go up a size in them. Damn Italian sizing! I tried the cocoon shorts, and they weren't comfortable...plus the chamois was sticking out in the back, adding to that maxi pad effect. I thought castelli's weren't supposed to do this?? I love the fit of their jersey's though. So comfy!

Oh, and do these run true to size? I like the navy colored ones!

I have some blue tri shorts that I like. Yeah...I do believe they aren't as slimming as black but then again I got bored also. The ones I have are Desoto Rapida shorts but they seem to be on close-out.

I'd look for darker colors because white/light colors would be frightening, at least on me. Imagine the sweat! And rain!

I can attest to the tri chamois, esp for shorter distances. If your saddle works, you won't need thick chamois.

Dunno. I'm as vain as almost the next person but thing are what they are, optical illusions be whatever. You know?

'cept white...um...it's not the largeness that scares me but the capacity for "see-thru"? I just...can't go there right now.

I like the Gore Bike Wear Ozon shorts from the TE website - does anybody know how these fit and if they are comfy? Also, do they run true to size? I tried measuring myself with a measuring tape and compared it to shorts I already have and the measurements seem off. Where it says I would need a large, I actually fit in a medium. So not quite sure...
The ozon shorts is good, but my favorites are Assos shorts. They come in regular shorts or bib shorts, and bright color combinations like red/black, yellow/black, blue/black... You can see them on the Assos website or on one of the dealers websites like Glory.

My inventory is all black shorts. I have looked at white shorts often though. In fact the white and black ozone shorts that smurfalicious posted are really nice. And those pink sugoi lucky shorts posted by flur are pretty cool too. I have always wanted a pair but never had the nerver to purchase any color of shorts other than black. Maybe if I lose 10 pounds this summer I will go for it and buy a pair so that they can reside in my bike shorts drawer! But I really do like those ozone black and white shorts . . . hmmmmmmm!!!!!

I may have to go for it.
