Hey ladies! This is Silver's hubby again...now with the cast on her right arm, she's struggling with typing and mouse usage...
It's been a good day for both of us. Silver slept reasonably well, but not great...but did take a good nap after about three hours at the mall.
While she got her hair done, I "man-shopped"...you know, where I walk in a store, scan the entire store in 10 seconds, walk up to what I want, pick it up and buy it...and then I'm out in 3 minutes flat. Got Mom's birthday card ($1.91), slippers ($12.50), pajama bottoms ($10), and 15 bottles of Bath & Bodyworks soap ($21.36)....all in 20 minutes at three different stores. Are you impressed?
We'll continue to keep you posted...
Silver,
What rotten luck! It really seems like these things come in groups (twos, threes, fours, I'm not sure). You'll probably never have another problem for 5, 10 years after getting through all this. Unfortunately, you still have to get through the here and now.
I'm thinking of you. I'm still nursing what I believe to be bruised ribs (have not been to the doc; I had too many x-rays with my pelvic fracture and did not want more) from my most recent minor bike wreck in my own driveway (fell hard on gravel). It's still uncomfortable to ride the trainer, do a sit-up, or cough, yet I can run pain-free - go figure. I'll try to stop whining like a baby every time something hurts a little and remember that it could be a lot worse.
No more broken bones, y'hear?!
Chin up and know that we're all out here sending positive thoughts your way!

Silver- So sorry to hear about your accident and broken arm.![]()
Sending positve thoughts your way for quick healing. Pain medication can be a big help, and it sounds like your husband will be able to finish all the Christmas shopping in about 10 minutes flat.![]()

(((((Silver))))) I'm so sorry to hear about your broken arm. I'm glad they did find the broken wrist though so they could fix it now and not have problems later due to missing it in the first place. Get well and know we're all here for you.
Don't think of it as getting hot flashes. Think of it as your inner child playing with matches
Hey Silver, sorry to hear about your arm and wrist, but better to find all the injuries now and get them treated than have problems later (which did happen to me). I know it sux when you are in the middle of this, but it will pass. Its up to you how to view these experiences. I view my past injuries as badges of honor, of having led an adventurous life. I also found it helpful when I was recovering to do yoga, since it can be both therapeutic (of course check with your doc what movements are safe) and spritually healing. Feel free to come here and vent whenever you need to, with a typing assistant of course!
