Glad to hear you will be better soon. You will be ok in time and eager to ride again, but as others have said give yourself time to heal. You'll know when you're feeling ready, but no sense rushing it until then...

Silver- Sorry to hear about the crash! Hoping for a speedy recovery for you. Thankfully nothing that can't be replaced (you!) was damaged beyond repair.

Big hugs your way, but gently so not to hurt your ribs.

    Warm thoughts, heal fast.

    Hey Silver-
30 mph crashes are nothing to laugh about but maybe we can look back on it later sometime and grin... Heal up and take your time in doing so- don't rush it. Lots of rest, lots of calcium, D and C. ... and E! Heal up, hon, and get back out there. We're all here for ya!

    xx

    Hi -

Barb from Perry County here. I feel for you. I crashed last summer and I know what it's like to struggle through the healing phase. Be patient with your body. Listen to it as you mend day by day. I'm sorry about your bike. Make sure the doctors are NICE to you. You've earned the right to compassionate care. Focus on healing and feeling strong again. Let us know how things are going when you can.

    Hi Silver
Oh, that sounds terrble. I know you've been through a lot lately, esp seeing a fellow rider killed and I feel for you. Rest up, heal and be strong... remember, you are a triathlete - nothing can keep you down for long!

Have yourself a complete and speedy recovery!

Maybe we'll all get to hear about your search for a new bike ... after this recovery period. Remember, painkillers are your friends! Don't go all heroic and suffer more than is necessary.

    Best wishes!

    30 mph!!!
    you are one lucky lady!!!
Rest, rest and more rest. Let people love you and help you. They *like* to do it; so it is not an imposition or an admission of weakness or lack of independence.

    Advice from personal experience:
    Take the pain meds, Silver.
There are a zillion-ba-jillion kinds and one will suit you.
Pain just depletes our personal resources that are needed for getting well.

Good for your DH to post this
