    Monday

B: sausage stuffed apple, black coffee (tried using heavy cream but really disliked it - I guess 30+ days of drinking it black will change one's taste buds!)
L: beef/cabbage stir fry, nectarine, hot tea
D: thai pumpkin curry over steamed veggies (no rice), hot tea, plum from our tree!

I had plans to test out dark chocolate but I was struck down with a cold germ yesterday afternoon and because of it, I was in bed by 8:30pm.

I wonder what percentage of my total food intake can consist of tomato sandwiches before it becomes a problem!

    Yum.

It's funny what meals you remember. Back in the summer of 1993, I went to NYC to see a college friend. She lived near Union Square Park and its fabulous farmers market. It was such a novelty to me then, as farmers markets--even in the liberal college town where I lived--were still a thing of the future. At the market one day, I bought some beautifully ripe tomotoes and a loaf of challah bread. The only thing I remember adding to it was a bit of spicy brown mustard. It was one of the best, most sublime, sandwiches ever.
